Join us once a month for 30 minute conversations on all things facades. We promise this won’t be boring. Just two guys that love to talk about facades, materials and design.
Every month we will focus on a different topic, drill down to the nitty-gritty details and at the end, hopefully you had a good time and learned something new.
We look forward to seeing you live in a session or watch on demand at your convenience, for great conversation and insight.
Topic: Prefabricated Facades 101
We all know prefabrication is a better, smarter way to build but as a designer, where do you start? We will chat about how to approach a prefabricated building envelope, what to consider and how it can make you a facade superstar.
Topic: Design Materiality & Versatility
Let’s face it, as architects we shape the skyline and nothing is worse than every building looking the same. We will discuss how to design with terracotta, brick, metal panel, tile or a combination of materials to help change the view.
Topic: Collaborative Facade Design
Collaborative design takes on a whole new meaning with prefabricated systems. The guys will discuss our approach on designing for prefabrication and how to achieve your aesthetic vision on budget.
Topic: Sustainability and Facade Design
The guys will discuss with our guest speaker how to design for the long term and taking material obsolescence into account. We will take a crack at separating myth vs. reality and how to choose the best solution for your next project.
Guest Speaker: Evan Reis PE, SE – Executive Director of USRC
